Frankincense is my go-to oil for all things calming to the mind and the skin. I use it practically daily for almost everything and it’s a great booster to put into blends. Frankincense has relaxing effects on the human body including uplifting mood and heightening awareness. I love to diffuse this oil to help me relax and stay focused throughout the day. It was of great value then and even now the difficulty in sourcing makes it one of the more expensive essential oils.
Frankincense comes from trees on small family farms in Oman and Somalia. Frankincense trees can live to be 100 years old if treated properly. Gum resin from trees is steam distilled and the trees are only scored twice per year to ensure the health of the trees for generations to come.
Apply on blemishes to help improve the appearance of skin.
Take 1-2 drops internally to help support your immune system.
Apply 1-2 drops with Fractionated Coconut Oil to the bottom of feet before bedtime.
Diffuse to promote relaxation.
To help decrease anxious feelings, put 1-2 drops in cupped hands and inhale.
Apply 1 drop Frankincense, 1 drop Peppermint, and 1 drop Wild Orange to hands and inhale for a great pick-me-up.
